About Cash Converters

Cash Converters started from a single store in Perth, Western Australia, in 1984. It was founded by Brian Cumins and a group of partners whose vision was to turn second-hand goods stores into professional retail outlets.

It was an idea people clearly loved because, today, there are over 150 Cash Converters stores around Australia and 480 stores worldwide.
We constantly look at ways to improve our customer service and, with recent innovations like our Personal Finance Centres and new shop layouts, Cash Converters continues to lead the way.

Since launching the concept in 1984 Cash Converters has grown enormously with representation in 21 countries worldwide and to a network of close to 500 franchised stores.

What we do

Adopted Charity - Dreams Come True

Dreams Come True is a charity that makes the dreams of terminally or seriously ill children become a reality. No dream is too big or too small and the only limit to the dream is the child's imagination.

In launching the new charity partnership between Cash Converters and the Dreams Come True charity, the emphasis will be on fundraising to help fulfil dreams. However this is one of two key objectives the charity is aiming to achieve in conjunction with ourselves. The second is to increase the number of dream requests as this will also directly contribute to fulfilling more dreams in the future.
Dreams Come True is about to meet their goal of 365 dreams a year and is looking to increase this to 500 in 2008. One way that you can help make this possible is to identify any child or young adult, aged 2 to 21 who is terminally or seriously ill and would benefit enormously from having the chance for their own dream to come true. There maybe someone in your local area or community, a friend or perhaps even a member of your own family who comes to mind either now at a future stage.
